New Airline Security Risks in Canada
Well, it seems that another horrible evil has finally been found out as the security threat it is...now, counted among things like boxcutters and suitcase nukes, you can no longer bring Fruitcake onboard public aircraft. Here is CBC's story on the FRUITCAKE Threat!
Finally, someone has listened to Jeff Green's cautionary tale of Big Brother and Fruitcake, Christmas is comming to the District of Druge or XICTTDOD.
It is part of his award winning series of Science Fiction Radio Plays, called Soundings. A number of the plays here that have won both local and International Awards, most notibly, Spaxter which has been inducted into the Science Fiction Radio Drama Hall of Fame, along with works like The Hitchiker's Guild to the Galaxy and Orson Well's War of the Worlds. Spaxter is a very witty send-up of the Cyberpunk/Film Noir detective genre, with production values that I compare to Dark Side of the Moon. If I had to review it in one line, I would take this one from the Mr. Green's site:
It's the wildest series of leaps through space and time ever taken by someone wearing a funky black fedora, all leading to an epic energy beam battle that bridges Earth and space and changes the future of humanity forever (what else?).
Here's a link to the first Spaxter play in Real Audio and in MP3 format.
