And it is exactly that attutide that allowed slavery and racial
segregation to last "in the South" virtually until this present day! Some of
the Blacks in the South said 'Don't rock the boat', 'Don't looking for
trouble'. And if they had convinced everyone of that, you would still see
separate washrooms for Blacks and Whites.
But brave souls came forward, and sat at a "Whites Only" lunch
counter, and in busses, and risked their lives...and a few lost their lives
too. If not for them we migh never have know Martin Luther King, and
countless people would not have had a chance at life, liberty and the
pursuit of happiness, simply because the colour of their skin.
The same thing is happening with GLBT rights right now. They don't
want anything special, just the same rights that everyone was promised by
the Constitution of the USA. How many will have to die? Hopefully none. And
Pagans have to do the same thing...Woman's sufferage, Black Civil Rights,
GLBT Rights...and when we get off our duff and stop playing "More
Wiccan/Norse/Celtic/Hellenic/Pagan than Thou", we can be the next movement
demanding our Rights. And it's something we have to do *soon*, before the
Fatalists who think "The End Times" are comming, and having already been
Saved, believe that they can ride roughshod over the our Planet and It's
Peoples.
