Mar. 15th, 2006 01:09 amI was just looking through some stuff about the series NCIS, and how it is related to JAG...and it turns out that the producer of both, Donald P. Bellisario, also has a deep rooted interest in Science Fiction. I didn't know that he was the creator of Quantum Leap, Airwolf, or that he worked on the original Battlestar Galactica. And if you are a Quantum Leap fan, it seems that they are resurrecting the show, although it doesn't say if it's a movie, miniseries, or new series. I guess that since Scott Bakula freed up with the cancellation of Enterprise, it has enabled the project to move forward.
As well, Mr. Bellisario was also the creator of Magnum P.I., which explains why the NCIS character Tony DiNozzo is always making references to Magnum and his Hawaiian Shirts.
Another bit of trivia, about Pauley Perrette, the actress who plays Abby Sciuto in NCIS. She actually studied for a Masters degree in Forensics before devoting her life to acting. And she also was in the Video Game of Bladerunner, playing the character of Lucy Devlin. I am guessing that she is not happy with that role as it is credited to Pauley P, and is not listed on her web site.
