A blast of reality from the past...

Those of you who either collect old comics, or bought them when they were sold, you will remember the various things that were offered for sale on the back pages of the comics. The best remembered thing was the "Sea Monkeys", but another that I always though would have been nice to have was the "Polaris Sub". In all of my life, I never knew anyone who bough one, so I never saw one. But an article over at BoingBoing.net talked about someone who had scanned in a whole bunch of those old ads, and posted them on-line. The writer, like myself, mused about how nice it would be to see one of those subs...and someone sent in a picture, which BoingBoing.net put up...here it is, with a link to the story:
