kallistii | These days it's good/bad to be an Erisian/Discordian!

It's an interesting time for us followers of Eris, first we get a planet named after Her, now, then there is a Big Buget film called "The Number 23", in which a charactor played by Jim Carey, becomes obsessed with the number 23. In some ways, it seems this film is a rip off of the German movie "23", which is about hacker/cracker Karl Koch's descent into insanity, which revolved around the works of Robert Anton Wilson, and the number 23. My guess is that they wanted to get the rights to the original, but he people who produced it wouldn't sell, figuring that the Americans would probably screw it up in the remake. They were probably right. So now we have a new film, roughly about it, and it's more of a psycho-thriller. I'll have to reserve judgement on the film until I see it. It could be fun,

But the sad part is that the 23 Meme is now out of the bag, and into the general public...and we will have to explain why we use the number, and no, we didn't do so because of the film. Still, it may lead some more people to Discordianism, since if you do *any* type of searching about the number 23, it leads you quickly to Eris.
