Ugh!

Well, I managed to blow up my system...not literally, but I did some fiddling, and managed to get it into a state where it was non-functional. After about 3 hours of work this morning, I now have it back to a place where it was (roughly) before I blew it up...later today, I will slowly go through what I did, repeating it a step at a time to see where the problem came up...because I was upgrading to Slackware-Current...and if I have found a bug, I need to be able to replicate it before I can report it...and, of course, I have to find exactly what I did to trigger it too! So if I disappear again for a while...that would be what happened.
