To the Hopsital last night...
The short of it is, I am OK, but might have either an ulcer, or hermeroids...but I am not going to die from whatever it is in the next few days. Got referal to a gastro-intestinal specialists, and thus need to call on Monday.
The long of it...
Well, I ended up having to take a dump 5 times over about a 5 hour period, and the last time around 7:30pm, I noticed the TP was red. Not a good sign. So, rather than call up the ambulance, I call up my dad and have him take me to the Queensway Carleton hospital, which is close to my parent's place in case I am there for a while. We get to the hospital around 9 pm.
My symptoms get me to the top of the queue, and I end up in a bed in one of the ER Suites around 10. They get me to take off my clothes and put on a hospital gown. Then I lay down on the bed and wait...nurse checks in on me every once in a while, I guess to make sure I haven't died. Eventually the doctor arrives, and I discuss things with him, and he does a rectal exam...not a lot of fun! He says it could be an ulcer, or hemeroids, and that I am not going to die right away from it, whichever it is. He then says that he will give me a referal to a GI specialist. And I can put my clothes on. I get out of there about 1:30 am. I had called Shelley to let her know that I won't be able to go to MTL with her Saturday when I got to the hopsital.
I go over to my parent's place to crash. And got back home around 3 pm today.
I have a referal letter & card and will call the specialist on Monday.
I'll let people know what happens...
