On one of the ADF lists, they are creating a Patheon of American God/desses, so I wrote up a few Canadian ones, and here they are for your enjoyment and education:
Canadians can have their own Pantheon too!
- Pierre Elliott Trudeau (Fertility God)
He was Prime Minister of Canada for 16 years, dated Margot
Kidder, hung around with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Danced at Discos and
street fairs, (may have) had a tryst with Barbara Streisand, Married
Margaret Sinclair, whom he later divorced after her affair with some members
of the Rolling Stones. He "flipped the bird" at belligerent political
protestors. Try that in the US! He imbedded the Bill of Rights into the new
Canadian constitution in 1980, ensuring the rights of women, First Nations
Peoples and gays/lesbians.

- The Beaver (God of Industry, not fertility!)
As the offical symbolic animal of Canada, this crafty rodent builds dams and
lodges with an alacrity that amazes.
- The Hockey Player (God of War, Symbolic)
Although the offical sport of Canada is Lacross, and Basketball was invented
by Canadian James Naismith from Almonte, Ontario, Canada; Hockey is the
Sport of Canada. During the Season, Canadians crowd around TVs to
watch CBC (and TV's) longest running sports show, Hockey Night in Canada.
It's theme song is considered a second National Anthem, and one of it's
current hosts, Don Cherry (former Boston Bruins Coach) is a demi-god. During
the show, armed and armored warriors of two teams slide gracefully across
the frozen surface to cause bodily harm, and very rarely, death. They chase
a small black object with which they can cause cheering for shooting it
into a protected net, or physical damage to the other team.
- James Cameron (God of Illusion)
Be it Aliens, Robotic Terminators with foreign accents, or unsinkable
ships, he can create illusions that amaze and astound.
- Joni Mitchel (Goddess of Song)
One of Canada's best know female songwriters from the 60's and 70's, she was
all bunnies and light, not to be confused with Alannis Morresette (Goddess
of Angst) who came to light many years later. She came from the Praires of
Canada. Some myths say that she was the mother of Alannis.
- Alannis Morresette (Goddess of Angst)
Isn't it ironic that she always seems to have one hand in her pocket? One
myth is confusing in that it claims she is God, not a Goddess.
- Neil Young (God of Angst)
This grungy God is always protesting things in a wide variety of styles,
and some myths say he is Alannis's father. From the Prairies of Canada.
- The House of the Second Fireside City (Famous Bardic School to the Gods)
This school is reputed to have trained some or all of the following Canadian
humourists: John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Shelley Long, Andrea
Martin, Rick Moranis, Catherine O'Hara, Harold Ramis, Dave Thomas, Martin
Short, Dan Akaroyd, Rick Green, Tom Green, Colin Mocherie, Rich Little, Jim
Carry, Lorne Michaels, Mike Myers, Howie Mandel.
- Guess Who (Guardian God against outsiders)
This mysterious diety who has no name is best know for the banishing song
than compares Canada's southern neighbour to a groupie/stalker that has an
urgent need to give Canada a lapdance, even if Canada doesn't want one, and
banishes said groupie/stalker (see lyrics to "American Woman").
- Alexander Graham Bell (God of Speech, Communication, and Invention)
Born in Scotland, he and his family emigrated to Canada. They settled in
Brantford, Ontario. Although he built the first "telephone" outside of
Boston, his original research was done in Brantford, and it was here that he
made the first "long distance" phone calls, between his home and first to
Mount Pleasant, just south of Brantford, and later to Paris, Ontario...both
sites were telegraph stations. His last 37 years he lived in Baddeck, Nova
Scotia, on Cape Breton Island. And here he invented the modern
air-conditioner and the hydrofoil.
