One of my real-world friends,
filkerdave, posted a link to a BBC poll about the most missed TV series in England. Here they are:
MOST MISSED TV SERIES
1. Star Trek
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
3. Friends
4. Fawlty Towers
5. Blake's 7
6. The X-Files
7. Babylon 5
8. Stargate
9. Seinfeld
10. The A-Team

A few thoughts...first Stargate is still around here in North America, both SG-1 and Atlantis flavours doing fairly well. But what stuck me most was that the majority of the shows they wanted to see; Star Trek, Blake's 7, X-Files, Babylong 5 and Stargate are all Science Fiction shows. As well, Buffy is Fantasy, and A-Team bordered on SF. That means only two of the shows had no SF or Fantastic elements as their main themes.
