Da Matrix!

Well, I just saw the new Matrix Movie...wow! I know understand why so many, especially in the US hate it. But I will put all the spoilers below the fold, as it were...

Visually, it is a stunning movie, and I can't wait until I can see it on IMAX! The music for the fight between Agent Smith an Neo is very reminiscient of "Dual of the Fates" from Star Wars. The fight with the Sentinels moves far too fast for the eye follow, I will have to watch it on DVD when it comes out, I am sure there are all sorts of wonderful "easter eggs" in it. The movie does end the trilogy, you are not left hanging, but the resolution does leave open the possiblity of other films, or spin offs. There is a great deal of philosphy underlying the actions of all the charactors, which is probably another reason why many don't like it...be bar of knowledge and though is set very high, probalby higher than the average American is comfortable with. And if you haven't seen the first two movies, or at least the first, don't bother going to see this one.
