Snow storms
Dec. 16th, 2007 06:38 pmWell, we are getting quite the snow storm here in Ottawa. There was a Pagan Brunch today, but I didn't go. Not because I am worried about the snow, but because I am worried about the other drivers in the snow. With the amount of snow that has hit the ground so far, even with the snow plowing that has gone on, the roads are certainly very slick, and this being the first big snow in a long time, most people don't have the skills to drive totally safely, and even my skills are a little rusty.
But I did go out around 3 pm...because I had hoped to get some supplies for my van...specifically, some snow tires. My All Season beasties are starting to show their age...with the front ones showing more wear, of course. I figured pick up a pair of winter tires, as it is very expensive since I have 16 " rims, and then buy new tires all around in the spring. Winter tires all around for me would run $400-500 dollars. But no place will install just two tires. So, I came home only having bought a new wiper blade for my rear window. I'm going to have to see about buying two tires and having some garage install them.
I was going to complain about LJ not posting this, but it turns out that I just forgot to hit the submit button.
