V for Vendetta

Wow!

I just watched this and I was totally blown away by it!

Seriously, it was in impressive movie. The story postulates a world that could easily come to be. One hopes that we will be able to sidestep the possible totalitarian society that we are scarily too close to. Definitely a must-see. Now I need to find the original comics that it is based upon.

Yes... 'Blown Away'

Remember Remember the Fifth of November...

The movie was definitely awesome. Just prior (or after... can't remember) the movie came out, they re-released a collectors edition of the trade for V... As for the movie... it started off with a bang and it finished with a bang... what else could one ask for? :) I love the 1812 Overture.

Out of curiosity, have you seen the Richard III adaptation starring Ian McKellen? It's pretty much the same classic Shakespearean play but set in the late 1930's (which, considering that period of history, works *way* too easily)

Oh yeah, I started reading the comic when it first started coming out in the 80s. It's about Thatcher's UK you know. Finding the comic in trade paper form should be easy; it's also only 1 volume.

I really liked the movie also. I thought it was amazing! We were lucky enough to see it on a large iMax screen also. It was great.

My son said it was quite different from the comic, though. I'm rather glad I never read it.
