Well, sunday started out getting up on time, but being snookered by the
Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)...so I get there about 10 minutes
late...run upstairs to meet Judith at the top of the upscalators. We had a
great time chatting, and I talked about the interesting family history that
I have discovered on my Irish side, and then mention that I forgot to bring
the Book of the McGoverns, but that the McGoverns Online website has a copy
of the translation! Next we had to go to the art show since she had to pick
up a duplicate bid card so she could bid on an art piece that she wanted. So
we go to the art show, and it turns out that the piece is by Heather Bruton,
a person I've known for years! So we get the bid card, and take a look at
the piece, which is this wonderful angelic figure done in, I believe,
watercolour and pen. I spot Heather, and we go over to say hello. I
introduce the to each other, and they chat about England, and Heather and I
chat about an aborted furry con I was going to help put on, and which I had
asked to be the Guest of Honour...she had said yes, but the con was a no-go.
She said that she was still willing to do it, if we ever got our act
together, or if we become a tagalong on Con-Carolinas. We eventually take
our leave, as things started to get busy for Heather, since she was working
the art show.

I mention that there is a computer lounge, and that we could access the web
that way...so off we go to the WWW!

Just before we get out of the "tunnel" betwen the Convention Center and a
hotel, we bump into Mandy Slater again. I introduce the two, but Mandy
rushes off, since she is due at an auction...probably not the one we want,
since it was over an hour away.

Down in the basement of the hotel, they had the computer room, so the
attendant seats us beside each other, and on the other side of Judith is
Janet Scott! So we all three chat for about 10 minutes, and then Janet heads
off to meet someone. Judith brings up her web site, and I bring up the
section of the eulogy poem for Farrell McGovern, who died around 1220 CE.

We surfed for a while, then Judith had to head back for the art auction, I
walk her back to where the auction room is, then start to head back to the
hotel. And almost at the same place I ran into Mandy is Kristen Pederson!
And she is married for 4 years, and about 7+ months pregnant! I found out
that she is working at the Baka booth, and we agree that I should seek her
out there, as she was off to pick up someone from Union Station.

I wonder around the convention area for a little while saying hello to
various people, and I come upon Lisa (formerall Gravel). We chat for a
while, and she and her family are doing well. I decide it's time to go and
grab a bit of food, and hit the chip wagon again. I have a hot dog and fries
this time. I think I gained some mass this weekend! :-(

Finishing off the fries, I head back to the hotel, and, for once, don't
encounter anyone I know well enough to stop and chat with. I got back to
the hotel about 4:15, and go up to the quiet consuite, and askfor
PopeLaskmi...and it turns out that she will not be back until 5 pm. So I go
to the Mezzenzine, find a confortable chair, and crash for three quaters of
an hour (or more...).

I wake up, head up to the Consuite, and find the Pope! I ended up setting up
my laptop to enter a journal entry, but as I mentioned, my browser crashed
just before I finished...and now here I am writing this all over again!
Hail Eris!

I'll complete this later...
