Harlan Ellison

I used to be a great fan of Harlan's, but over the years, I've drifted away. Maybe when I was younger, I need the visions in his work. These days, I don't. Not that he has really produced much in the past while that I know of. But there is both an article/interview with him in Salon Magazine, and a documentry film that has just come out. You can read the article/interview here.

Date: 2008-06-09 04:09 am (UTC)But that is an unfair comment about "City", outside of STrek fandom, he is not known for that, but for things like "Dangerous Visions", "A Boy and his Dog", and being a consultant to JMS on Babylon 5. Now I have met the man on a number of occasions, and he is even more entertaining in person than he is in his writing. Watching him and JMS tag-team in talking about B5 was something truly amazing! Just having him read one of his stories is an event of itself!
