Once again, I have been neglecting my journal...my writing has turned to other things, like trying to convince the local convetion that they should spend more than $100 on the consuite and pay more attention to Fannish stuff rather thn Gaming stuff, which is all the con chair knows, and thus ConCarolinas is seen as a Gaming con, not a SF con. As well as defending the local Furry community after that CSI episode.

I don't know you even remotely well enough to fill out the quiz (in fact, I can't even answer all of the Pope's questions in hers) but ... the CSI episode?

Yes, to quote a comment I made elsewhere on JL...

"An example of this...the CSI episode that featured Furry Fandom, and "exposed" their private party "perversion", basically a puppy pile with lots of fondling while in fur suits, has caused the chair of the con to be "creeped out" by the Furs now...and he got very defensive when I brought up the fact that we have a live-action Rocky Horror Picture Show event at the con, and that Mundanes would probably feel "creeped out" about SF fandom upon hearing things like that happen at cons...and that stuff like BDSM parties are common at SF cons too. I basically told them that we shouldn't judge, lest we be judged..."

As for answering the questions...don't worry about it...it's mainly to allow Pope's responses. But I am honored to be read by Schroedinger's Gerbil...as pheloniusfriar and I have a band called Schrodinger's Cat...the band that may ,or may not exist.

Maplecon in '87 or '88. IT was through Discordianism, but I don't recall Reb being involved.

Cool dude! and I LOVE his shirt!!!

Hell yeah!

Bad eating habits. :\

I will be up for Yule, I get there on the 21st in the afternoon,, and leave early in the morning (very early!) on the 28th. We should get together if you are around!
