Voting in the US election.

kallistiiI should b e looking for a party that is in line with my views, that will have to wait until we get Bush out of the office of President. Having a Fundamentalist Christian as a President is really a bad idea since they are so hyped up about "The End Times" and the are *always* expecting it to be *soon* means that they don't care about the long term, just the short term...and it doesn't matter to them what they do, because they consider themselves Good Christians, and thus can do no wrong.
We need to look forward, as one thing that they almost all miss is the fact that everyone is living longer, and Moore's Law is going to have a dramatic effect on medical technology and and proceedures....for all of the medical field is an information technology, and it will experience the same type of growth that we have seen in the computer sector since the more data that they can access and cross-correlate, the better their understanding of how the body works, and how to fix it. I expect that those under 50 now will probably live a healthy useful life until around 100 years, and those under 20 will have a good shot at a century and a half...or more. It's not a matter of leaving things for our kids, it will be a matter for us do deal with in our elder years. And *that* is very scary!
