kallistii | Some wireless, some sleep

Well, I got the wireless up and running, but it seems that the house does a good job of absorbing 802.11b, and I found out that the snazzy Linksys WRT54G has a seriously low setting for it's wireless output, but when I upgrade the flashram on it to a full Linux distro...oh, yes, Linksys routers and accesspoints run a version of Linux for the most part. With the new flash image, I will get more control over it's output, and lots of other nice things like SSH access for configuring it.

I am also looking at getting a 802.11g card for one of my desktop systems...easiest way to do it is to get an ethernet/WiFi bridge, cheapest is to get a PCI card...still evaluating the pros and cons of each. Why go 802.11g? Faster, better range, etc.

I slept most of the evening...still tired. Tanj, a move like that takes a lot out of you...and I don't think that a younger person would be better off. And maybe they would not be so freaked out by a move either!

After I have access set up, and my phone in my room, I will be seeing about doing some stuff with my business idea...I hope to get some advertising together, and a web site.

Tomorrow, I am in Ottawa...may give people a call and see about getting together...probably a short visit to the parent's place for burgers and a shower, as the pharm's tub is not yet operational...maybe in the morning! If so, I don't need the shower at the parent's place.

Well, it's time to go to bed...again!
