Canada restores my faith in the country

Well, the courts have dealt a massive blow to the way to big for their britches music recording industry!

It is now fully legal to share music across the internet in Canada!!! Add to that, a recent study shows that downloading music off the internet doesn't negatively affect sales of CDs and Tapes, and can sometimes help. Go to virtually any Canadian news outlet, and check it out!

Lost Faith

40 years ago a great leader
changed our nation's plans
He told us the sky is no limit
and then showed us were we stand

But an assassin's bullet cut him down
But it didn't touch his dreams
A man on the moon before the 70s
A place no man had been

We passed the sky to reach the moon
And everything was all bright
'Till Nixon came and shut it down
And killed our dreams overnight

Flower Children and Astro-Geeks
both lost faith in the stars
And Nixon's late night burgle
confirmed everyone fears

"Do not trust the government!"
And he gave us good reasons why
But who will take up the glove
and reach out past the sky?

We found our fear of flying
in the sky and out beyond
But was it the lost of faith
That keeps us on the ground?

One small step for all mankind
Is all that it will take
To launch us out into the stars
To explore that outer space

The faith I speak is not of God
Or Goddess or some shrine
It's the faith in all mankind
and womankind as well

A belief in self, body and mind
and in the people all around
And in the pursuit of knowledge
And exploration all around

We need to take that next step
And leave this sheltered place
To step into the Stars
And leave the womb of our Mother Earth
