Some great Erisian news!
Sep. 14th, 2006 01:27 amHave you wondered why all this controversy over Pluto has erupted?
Or, to liturgically reword that,
""SOMEBODY HAD TO PUT ALL OF THIS CONFUSION HERE!"
And with that he revealed his scroll. It was a diagram, like a yin-yang with a pentagon on one side and an apple on the other. And then he exploded and the two lost consciousness.
ERIS - GODDESS OF CHAOS, DISCORD & CONFUSION" - The Principia Discordia
The 10th planet in our solar system, or as they call them now, 'dwarf planet', was formerly known as 2003 UB(313). For a long time, it had many "nicknames" like Xena and such. But today (Well, yesterday) the same body that Pluto's planethood renamed the most distant planet-like heavenly body ERIS! This is *NO JOKE*! Seriously! [giggle]
What I really liked about finding this out is that I read about it first in the San Jose Mercury News! Someone posted a link to the story....which is here. Wikipedia has been updated see it here.
