After a bit of fiddling, I think I know what has started to cause my allergies to really take off...It's my little ceramic heater that, even on the second lowest setting, can bring the room in the basement where I live to a nice, toasty temperature. I have turned it off, and it seems that my coughing has gone down quite a bit...so I need to do something about it...which means replacing it, probably...or, it may be the floor itself, which may/may not have some mold on it under the carpet..as the heater sits on the floor, and blows up whatever it takes in...I know there is a leak in the upstairs washroom...

My kind landlady provided a electric blanket, but thanj, those thing are dangerous! They've been know to cause more fires than most electrical heating devices because of their close promixity to flamable stuff (sheets, blankets, etc), all it takes is just one spark caused by a slightly worn connection...that type of heat is not worth risking my life for! And that doesn't even mention the possible side effects of having an electrical field that close to your body for so long. But I digress...

So, my heater is off, my cocoon type sleeping bag, which is great, and good down to something like -10...but doesn't exactly unfold nicely on the bed...oh, well...

So, I am just chatting with [livejournal.com profile] filkerdave and [livejournal.com profile] popelaksmi on some IM protocol...I use GAIM, so they could be on LJ, Google, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM....I really don't know...
