announcing....

A "Who Cares?" party at Willows Place Saturday January 20th at 7 pm!

You are invited to attend the first Who Cares? party of 2007. It will be taking place at Willow's place. It's out in the Hunt Club area. Please call 613-237-2342 for directions, or email me at Erispriest@yahoo.com, or here for directions, or the address. Warning: There is a cat, so please bring antihistamines if you need them. Smoke Free environment!

"Who Cares" started with the local Science Fiction community. A group of people within it found that the local Science Fiction Club (OSFS) was getting too stodgy and boring...to serious and concerned about things. This group just wanted to have fun with like minded people. So the formed the Who Cares? club to hold gatherings (aka parties) where the serious concerns of the day could be addressed with "Who Cares?", and for an evening, at least,
those concerns could be forgotten.

Since the practice has died after a couple of decades of active life, another group of people have decided to resurrect the "Who Cares?" party, and introduce it to the Pagan community of Ottawa in addition to the Science
Fiction Community. The communities have always had a great deal of overlap, so we are exploiting that.

"Who Cares?" parties are very laid back affairs...sometimes there is music, other times there is video, usually of the anime sort. But always there is great conversations! It's not a "wild party", nor a drink until your barf party.

What to bring:

- Yourself, of course!
- Friends
- Food (chips, fruits, etc.)
- Beverages (soda, juice, etc...but if you bring booze, you are responsible
for it, and those who drink it!)
- Music (CD, DVD, mp3, maybe even Vinyl!)
- Videos (of interest to Pagan, Science Fiction, Fantasy or Anime)
- Games
- Anything you think might interest like minded people
- A good attitude, and intention of having fun!

In addition, there is a "Hair Dye" party in the afternoon before the party, please call for information if you would like to "dye".

"Just recently (between Christmas and New Year) I designed a big (8 x 8 x 3 metres) pink tank for my Love, Peace and Terror Project, and built it on a rooftop in the centre of Amsterdam and will blow it up with explosives beginning of February.

For fun today I googled "pink tank" and stumbled on your april 19, 2006 blog entry about pink tanks. This one is not a real tank and I guess the other ones won't get blown up, but still I feel part of a pink tank movement now :-)
