Today was a good day.
Mar. 29th, 2007 10:34 pmToday, Dell Computers announced that it will be selling notebooks and desktop computers pre-loaded with Linux!
This is huge news...because although the current desktop oriented distros of Linux do not have the same level of integration as Mac OS X, this level of support in the marketplace will cause that to happen.
As Dell already has relationships with Red Hat and Novell, expect to see their versions of Linux to be officially supported initially. Beyond that, the future is bright enough so that you can't really see what happens without special glasses. :-)
