I only heard about this about 7 tonight on the CBC. I heard an interview with awoman who was there, very (understandably distraught).
The initial reports (and this always happens in the event of any crisis I have EVER seen covered) were wrong: 2 shooters, military fatigues, 12 wounded, nope.
This reminds me of the case of the guy who set fire to himself in the Tim HOrton's - it took 2 dasy for the correct facts to emerge - people tought it was a terrorist.
Anyway, so now the reports have been fact checked and it's 1 shooter, no military fatigues, sintead aguy with what one eyewotness said was amachine gun - so I guess it must have been an automatic, or maybe a semi automatic... 20 sent to hospital of which 6 are in critical condition, and one 20 year old woman dead. :-( Shooter killed (thank God/dess!) by the Surete, bless 'em. They havea rep as a bit of a goon squad but I think this SOB deserved a goon squad. Shooter was white male, black trenchcoat, black boots, impassive expression and armed with a big nasty gun. Oh, and some sort of oddball haircut, probably a Mohawk.
