Good News!

kallistiiWell, I finally have some good news, I am getting UI starting the week of Sept 4th!!!! YEA!!!
Until then, well, things are going to be tight....well, more than tight. I will be living on borrowed money. I am expecting that I will not got any of the low paying jobs I applied for until Sept, since by then, all of the students will be gone...In the mean time, I will be working on a Linux Distribution of my own. That should keep me busy for a while, and keep my skills up to date.
Now that I know I will be able to have enough money to live on, I can start thinking about things like doing the ADF Dedicant's program, working more on music, and along they way, looking for a great job, hopefully in the New York City/Long Island area.
You may ask why NYC? Well, much as I like computers and working with them, I would also like to see and do more music. And the other music centers in the States, Nashville and LA don't interest me.

Date: 2004-08-18 10:38 pm (UTC)I find it interesting that the trade papers say that demand for Linux admins is rising, while I find fewer and fewer jobs...5 years ago, I could get a job in no time flat...oh, wait, that's right...that was before Bush! Well, that's another reason to get rid of Bush!
