Voting in the US election.
Sep. 7th, 2004 01:42 amWe need to look forward, as one thing that they almost all miss is the fact that everyone is living longer, and Moore's Law is going to have a dramatic effect on medical technology and and proceedures....for all of the medical field is an information technology, and it will experience the same type of growth that we have seen in the computer sector since the more data that they can access and cross-correlate, the better their understanding of how the body works, and how to fix it. I expect that those under 50 now will probably live a healthy useful life until around 100 years, and those under 20 will have a good shot at a century and a half...or more. It's not a matter of leaving things for our kids, it will be a matter for us do deal with in our elder years. And *that* is very scary!
